Theodis Watson serves as the Director of Community Development at CrossFirst Bank, bringing over 20 years of banking experience and a deep commitment to community impact. He is the National Vice President of the Urban Financial Services Coalition and actively serves on several nonprofit boards. Known for his passion for service and strong leadership in business banking, Theodis is a dedicated advocate for economic empowerment and inclusive growth.

Peter Mallouk
Welcome and Opening Remarks
Peter Mallouk is the founder of Pathway Financial Education and the President and CEO of Creative Planning, a nationally recognized independent wealth advisory firm. A passionate advocate for financial literacy, Peter co-founded Pathway to provide education and resources to individuals, families, and business owners traditionally underserved by the financial services industry.

Marisa Martinez
Keynote Speaker
Marisa Martinez has 25 years of experience in nonprofit and banking, focusing on financial empowerment and inclusive banking initiatives in underserved communities, and serves as the Community Development Advisor of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. She has led community development efforts, managed CRA programs, and advocated for innovative financial solutions. A first-generation college graduate, she holds degrees in social psychology and public administration.

LaTasha Jacobs
Closing Remarks
LaTasha Jacobs has over a decade of experience shaping Kansas City’s financial landscape. A former Community Development Banker at UMB, she provided tailored banking solutions and financial education to underserved communities. Raised in Wyandotte County, she developed a passion for community service early on. Now, as Executive Director of Pathway Financial Education, she is committed to expanding resources, fostering partnerships, and empowering individuals on their path to financial security and independence.
