Buying a home is a big step, and it can feel confusing or overwhelming if you’re trying to figure it out on your own. This workshop breaks the process down into simple, practical steps so you can understand what’s involved, what you need to prepare, and how to decide what you can realistically afford. You’ll learn what to expect long before you start touring homes, helping you approach the journey with clarity and confidence.
From getting financially ready and reviewing your credit to understanding mortgages, down payments, loan types, and interest rates, we’ll walk through the key stages of buying a home. You’ll also learn how lenders determine what you qualify for, what the debt-to-income ratio means, and how things like taxes, insurance, HOA fees, and ongoing maintenance costs factor into your budget. You’ll also explore what it looks like to shop for a home, build a strong homebuying team, make an offer, navigate inspections, and understand closing documents.
This workshop is designed to make homebuying feel less intimidating and far more achievable. You’ll walk away with practical knowledge, better questions to ask, and a stronger sense of what’s right for your financial situation and long-term goals.
