LaTasha Jacobs
LaTasha Jacobs is a dedicated professional who has spent more than a decade shaping the financial landscape of Kansas City. With a wealth of experience in the banking industry, she served as the Community Development Banker at UMB, one of the region’s largest local banks. In this influential role, Jacobs leveraged her expertise to assist clients in finding tailored banking solutions that aligned with their financial aspirations.
Beyond her role in banking, Jacobs actively contributed to her community by offering regular financial education courses and technical assistance. Her commitment extended to providing essential resources for the underserved communities of Kansas City. With a background in branch leadership and operations, Jacobs possessed a deep understanding of the financial services industry, honed over more than 10 years.
Raised in Wyandotte County, Kansas, Jacobs cultivated her passion for community service early on. During her high school years at FL Schlagle High School, she dedicated her time to working with non-profit organizations, fostering a sense of purpose in advocating for individuals and communities striving for financial empowerment.
Now, as she steps into the role of Executive Director, Jacobs looks forward to deepening her connections with various organizations and partners. She aims to provide accessible support to the community, as she understands their unique needs firsthand. With open doors and an empathetic approach, Jacobs is poised to make a significant difference, bridging the gap between individuals and their dreams of financial security and independence.
Angelique Cheatem - Program Manager
Angelique Cheatem graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri in 2017. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an emphasis in Financial Counseling. In school, she participated in the Financial Planning Association Group and volunteered as a youth in the non for profit community group- Ladies / Teens of Essence. This organization serves individuals and families in need. Angelique enjoys volunteer work and helping others. She is eager to help everyone who wants a better understanding of financial education and financial literacy. She has been in the financial services industry for 4 years.
Ivan Griffin - Program Manager
Ivan Griffin is a seasoned business professional with a robust background in financial services and business development. Ivan is a former Financial Advisor with Waddell & Reed and has dedicated much of his career to supporting business owners, particularly in commercial insurance and financing.
Ivan has a proven track record in helping entrepreneurs start and grow their small businesses, with hands-on experience in product design and development. Ivan holds a U.S. patent.
In addition to his business acumen, Ivan has extensive experience in mortgage loan origination, commercial loans, and commercial insurance. He is also deeply committed to community service, providing financial literacy education on investments, loans, insurance, and credit in underserved communities. Ivan holds a B.S. in Physical Science from Kansas State University.

Peter Mallouk, Chairman
Peter Mallouk is the President of Creative Planning and affiliated companies, which provide comprehensive wealth management services to its clients, including investment management, financial planning, charitable planning, retirement plan consulting, tax, and estate planning services. Peter graduated from the University of Kansas in 1993 with four majors, including degrees in Business Administration and Economics. He went on to earn a law degree and Master of Busineses Administration in 1996, also at the University of Kansas.
Peter is the founder, current executive board member, and former five-year Chairman of KC CAN!, an organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the quality of life of children in Kansas City. Peter is a recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Peter and his wife Veronica are the recipients of the Giving the Basics Human Dignity Award for their contributions towards helping those less fortunate meet basic needs, and recipients of the Variety Presidential Citation Award for their work supporting those with special needs. Peter has served on Boards of Pathway to Hope, American Stroke Foundation, St. Michael’s Finance Council, Kansas City Hospice and KCCAN!
Peter and his wife have three children and reside in Leawood, Kansas.
Vince Clark, Vice Chairman
Vince Clark is a vice president of business development at Creative Planning, LLC., an independent financial advisory firm headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas.
Vince has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking. Prior to joining Creative Planning, he held several executive and senior-level positions in domestic and international finance at some of the largest banks in the world, including JP Morgan Chase, HSBC and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Vince was the owner and chief executive officer of a boutique capital advisory services company in Kansas City, and vice president and treasurer of H&R Block, Inc.
Vince is actively engaged in philanthropic and community services. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Park University in Parkville, Missouri, treasurer and chairman of the Finance Committee of Children Mercy Hospital’s Board of Directors in Kansas City, Missouri and a Fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago, Chicago, Illinois.
Vince has a bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, and a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Vince resides with his wife and two children in Kansas City, Missouri.
Nick Jacobson
Nick Jacobson is the Chief Marketing Officer at Creative Planning, an independent financial advisory firm headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas.
Nick has over 20 years of marketing experience in financial services. Prior to joining Creative Planning, he was a Vice President of Marketing for Edelman Financial Engines. He has worked in the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) industry for over 15 years, and this is where his passion grew to help everyone have a better financial future. Before being in the RIA industry Nick worked at H&R Block, where he launched a new division focused on small business owners.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Kansas, where his two adult children now study. Nick resides with his wife and two goldendoodles in Leawood, Kansas.
Pathway Financial Education is Nick’s first non-profit board position. It aligns perfectly with his passion to help others have a better financial future.
Kim Randolph Davis
Kim, CEO of Heartland Black Chamber of Commerce and INC U LLC, and JV Partner of KWAMEkc, is a natural entrepreneur who has transformed businesses. INC U LLC, her brainchild, was established to nurture budding entrepreneurs. Kim’s leadership in C-Level roles enabled corporations to enhance their profitability and efficiency. Her belief, “everyone can succeed using their innate gifts,” led to the creation of INC-U. Under Kim’s five-year leadership at Heartland Black Chamber, membership surged by 80%. Key initiatives include ENCORE, assisting small local black businesses; (HYPE) Heartland Young Professional Empowerment, fostering future leaders; and co-founding of Professional Women of Color (PWOC) for networking.
In 2022, Kim secured a $4 million congressional earmark, paving the way for the US’s first Minority Chambers Development Center, in collaboration with the Hispanic Chamber of Greater Kansas City. With a background in operations and warehouse distribution, she has expertly managed company GSA awards and launched pilot offices nationwide. A UMKC Bloch School alumni, she graduated from UMKC’s E-Scholar program in 2015 and currently is a participant of Kansas City Tomorrow Class 44.
Ryan Adams CPA, CFP®, Secretary
Ryan Adams is the Manager of Paraplanning and Senior Financial Planner at Creative Planning, LLC. Ryan has always had a passion for helping others, which led to him to his current role at Creative Planning of developing associate financial planners and advising clients on comprehensive financial services and solutions. Ryan is actively engaged in philanthropic and community services and served as an instructor and mentor at Pathway Financial Education before joining our board.
Ryan graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy degrees. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
Oscar Healy, VP
As Regional Vice President, Oscar manages the design-build construction operations for Opus Design
Build, L.L.C. in the Missouri, Kansas, and North Carolina markets. He leads the construction team working
on projects across multiple sectors, including industrial, residential, institutional, office and retail. In all
sectors, he has delivered more than 10 million square feet. Throughout his career, Oscar has developed
and flexed many skills, including collaboration (a cornerstone of the Opus organization), flexibility (there
are many ways to solve a problem), problem solving (inherent in the design and construction process
because problems will arise) and trustworthiness.
Oscar is a member of the Design Build Institute of America. He served as the Olathe Chamber of
Commerce Chair of the Board in 2023 and currently serves as the past chair. He serves on the Marquette
University Construction Engineering Advisory Council and is an Advisory Committee Member for the
Ignition Lab at Operation Breakthrough.
