With the first quarter of 2025 underway, we’re thrilled to share Pathway Financial Education’s 2024 Annual Report, a reflection on a year of impact, progress, and financial empowerment. Our mission has always been to equip individuals, families, and small business owners with the tools to achieve lasting financial stability—and this year was no exception.

A Year of Transformation

In 2024, we reached more than 6,500 individuals and families through financial education, mentorship, and community partnerships. Our work remains critical, as financial illiteracy continues to be a nationwide challenge, particularly in under-resourced communities. With 57% of U.S. adults unable to pass a basic financial literacy test, our mission is more urgent than ever.

From expanding workshops to launching a groundbreaking partnership with KIPP Charter Schools, our team has worked tirelessly to make financial education accessible, relevant, and impactful for learners of all backgrounds.

Expanding Our Reach

This year, we made strides in three key areas:

High School Financial Literacy: We increased our presence in local schools, equipping students with real-world financial skills through an 18-week curriculum aligned with Missouri’s education standards. Programs like our Career Exploration Days gave students a head start on financial responsibility and career planning.

Adult Financial Education: We provided free, expert-led workshops to adults on budgeting, debt management, investing, and credit-building, ensuring individuals could make informed financial decisions at any stage of life.

Small Business Empowerment: Our Small Business Owners Program, led by industry professionals, helped entrepreneurs understand business planning, marketing, financial management, and funding strategies—critical tools for sustainable growth.

By the Numbers: Community Impact

  • 1,010 adults attended financial workshops
  • 601 high school students participated in our education programs
  • 210 small business owners engaged in workshops
  • 59 individuals received 1-on-1 financial coaching
  • 158 workshops were held throughout the year
  • 6 new partnerships were developed

Our impact was made possible by the generosity of our donors, partners, and volunteers, and we are deeply grateful for your continued support.

Looking Ahead to 2025

We are not slowing down. In the coming year, we will expand our programs to include Spanish-language courses, increase online learning opportunities, and strengthen partnerships with community centers, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations to further our mission.

As Executive Director LaTasha Jacobs shared in this year’s report:

“Our vision is ambitious yet unwavering—to empower tens of thousands by eliminating financial illiteracy and fostering stronger communities. Your support makes this possible.”
